Original Photograph

Continuing the theme of traditional and monumental architecture in India, is the Qutub Minar in Delhi. This picture was taken on my most recent trip to India, at the end of last year. I think that the image displays beauty in its subtle detail, having elements of carved sandstone and marble, which show Arabic writings, as well as decorative features including flowers, stars. The tower itself is the largest minaret in India, standing at 72.5 meters tall, and surrounded by medieval structures and ruins, enhancing the atmosphere and beauty of the tower, this image displays a wall from one of the surrounding ruins.
