This ceramic was a part of my final submission to my HSC body of work. The reason for the ‘cut out’ areas in the ceramic are to show that there are various perspectives that a simple form can be viewed by, thus revealing the overlooked beauty. The ceramic is made from paper clay, which allows an easier manipulation of larger forms, such as this work, as the ceramic stands at around 70 cm. With this work I hope to show the complex details hidden in the simplest of forms which often is the overlooked beauty.
